The set features “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road,” Sara’s never-before-released breathtaking version of Elton John’s classic song. The Brave Enough Tour, which sold out nationally within three minutes, was celebrated by fans and media alike, and the aptly titled “Brave Enough” DVD captures Sara’s entire performance.
He is amazing at what he does!īrave Enough: Live at the Variety Playhouse is a live DVD+CD from multiplatinum, Grammy-nominated Sara Bareilles. Blend’s Bryan Mir, a personal friend of Sara’s, did the live edit and provided all of the live switching and editing gear. We put the 5D Mark III and GoPros in some fun spots on the piano to create cool angles without distracting Sara during her performance. To film the show without being obtrusive, we used long lenses, a jib, GoPros, 5D Mark III, and multiple Sony HXC 100s. Her fans cherished the closeness, and we captured that on video. Sara’s concert was very intimate: just her, a piano, and a guitar in a small venue. She is so talented, and it was a privilege filming her show.
This was Sara’s first ever fully solo tour, and we captured the entire performance and behind-the-scenes footage on May 20, 2013. K2 Productions collaborated with Blend/Mindpool Productions to produce the Sara Bareilles “Brave Enough: Live at Variety Playhouse” concert in Atlanta, GA.
